Thanks to AT&T subsidizing the cost of your new iPhone 3G (unveiled recently by Steve Jobs see video below) you will only have to pay a paltry $199 for the beautiful little phone, as opposed to the rather hefty $599 early adopters were paying a little over a year ago when the device first hit the market.
As you can see it looks rather like its predecessor. But it’s bound to be sexier, as is AT&T’s coverage, which doesn’t say much I might add.
From the Apple website:
Phone, iPod, Internet, and more.
Introducing iPhone 3G. With fast 3G wireless technology, GPS mapping, support for enterprise features like Microsoft Exchange, and the new App Store, iPhone 3G puts even more features at your fingertips. And like the original iPhone, it combines three products in one — a revolutionary phone, a widescreen iPod, and a breakthrough Internet device with rich HTML email and a desktop-class web browser. iPhone 3G. It redefines what a mobile phone can do — again.
Twice as fast? Well, we’ll see…but half as much is always good.
The phone will be available for consumption on July 11th. ..
